Recently I completed a freelance project for a badminton club in Singapore called UBI Smashers. The club has around 40 members and they needed a simple system to manage their activities. So I built a web application that helps them manage members, bookings, attendance, expenses and tournaments in one place. The platform includes an admin dashboard, member management, court booking system, attendance tracking, expense sharing between members, equipment tracking and financial reports. Members can also see their bills and payment details through a public page. One interesting feature is the tournament module. The system can automatically generate match schedules for both round robin and knockout formats. It also assigns match time slots and courts so that matches run smoothly. I also worked on improving the website performance and SEO. The site currently scores 92 in performance and 100 in accessibility, best practices and SEO in Lighthouse. I built the project using modern web technologies and also used AI assisted coding tools during development to speed up implementation and improve the overall development process. This project was a good experience because it was built for real users and solved real problems for the club. Always open to feedback and learning.
